Prolink is pleased to announce a collaborative opportunity with a well-established company in Tuscaloosa AL, operating within the Automotive Manufacturing industry. They are currently seeking an experienced Assistance Controller to join their team. This role will have the opportunity to train and progress to more senior Controller positions.
PAY:
- $90,000 - 100,000 Salary
- OT required as needed.
SCHEDULE/SHIFTS:
- 1st shift, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
- Monday – Friday, No weekends

JOB SUMMARY: As an Assistant Controller, you will play a key role in managing and overseeing financial operations to ensure the company's financial health and compliance. You will act as a deputy to the Controller, assisting with financial reporting, budgeting, cost management, and other critical financial tasks
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- 3 to 5 years minimum experience:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Work within a Decentralized Manufacturing environment.
- Work with Manufacturing Ops Accounting and Finance
- Working knowledge of Bill 198, Bill 198 Requirements, and SOX.
- Work in an AS400 Environment.
- Hands on experience with CMS or Epicor
- Preparation and presentation of KPI’s
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Work within Automotive manufacturing environment.
- Hold a recognized Account Designation such as CPA or CA. (Preferred)
- Advanced knowledge and skills with Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proven Leadership, problem solving skills, critical thinking skills, attention to detail, organizational skills, interpersonal skills, time management and ability to multitask.
- Employment is contingent upon successfully completing a pre-employment background check, drug screening, and motor vehicle record (MVR) review, as applicable to the role.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare and present daily KPI’s.
- Oversee Financial Functions such as: Cash and back, accounts receivable, inventory, assets, accounts payable, company transactions, accruals, and other receivables.
- Oversee monthly reconciliations and support documentation.
- Assist with compliance for reporting requirements on weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Assist with creating accurate weekly forecasts.
- Assist in preparation of the Annual Budget.
- Assist with any auditing processes both external and internal.
- Assist with reviewing Customer quotations for approval.
- Review and interpretation of Standard and Non-Standard journals.
- Implement and Maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with Bill 198.
- Provide Continuous Improvement for both financial and production processes.
- Work with teams to identify any inefficiencies in processes and implement any cost saving initiatives for freight cost savings, outsourced production, savings, improvements, inventory management, and scrap.
- Develop and lead projects for cost savings.
- Review accounts receivables and follow up with collections.
- Collect and review and review all information required for capital requests and ensure all approvals have been received.
- Work closely with Capital spending projects, approvals, reviews, and payback calculations.
- Complete performance appraisals in regards to continuous development.
- Perform any additional tasks assigned by Chief Controller.
