CTL Certified Welding Inspector - CWI
Job Description :
- Perform visual inspections of welds on piping systems to ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API).
- Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) methods such as ultrasonic testing (UT), radiographic testing (RT), magnetic particle testing (MT), and dye penetrant testing (PT)
- Verify welding procedures, qualifications, and records to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards
- Monitor welding activities and processes to ensure adherence to approved welding procedure
- Identify and document welding defects and recommend corrective actions
- Ensure that all welding inspections are properly documented and maintained
- Prepare and maintain detailed inspection records, reports, and quality documentation.
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and blueprints related to piping systems
- Communicate inspection results and quality issues to project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during welding and inspection activities
- Conduct safety audits and inspections of welding operations and equipment
- Provide guidance and training to welders and other personnel on welding standards and best practices
