Construction Aggregate Testing Technician

No experience in testing required, opportunity to train and earn certifications in civil engineering technologies. Pay based on experience for

  • higher pay for those with experience and certifications or degree - Civil Engineering - Civil Engineering Technology - Geotechnical, ACI, NICET, ODOT

Job Description :

  • Testing various aggregates on construction sites including but not limited to; soil, asphalt, concrete, plastic pipe, rebar
  • Maintaining testing equipment as required
  • Reading and interpretation of specifications and construction standards
  • Collaboration with team members on assignments, contractors and client
  • Communication with everyone involved with testing updates
  • Documentation of work performed
  • Adhering to all safety and public health requirements on job site
  • Obtaining and recording lab data and generating reports of results in an organized way, per plans and specifications on each jobsite
  • Traveling to various job sites in OH, and neighboring states as needed

    • Requirements and Qualifications :

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Successful completion of full drug screen and consent to background check
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record to operate company vehicle
  • Ability to handle physical requirements of the job, lift up to 50 lbs, as well as outdoor conditions and extended periods of time on your feet
  • Computer proficiency / Microsoft Office
  • Attention to detail and quality
  • Must be willing to work necessary overtime, including occasional weekends

    • Preferred but not required : (will have opportunity to earn these certifications)

  • ACI Concrete Field and / or Lab Testing Technician
  • ACI Concrete Strength Testing Technician
  • ACI Aggregate Testing Technician
  • Nuclear Densometer Safety with Hazmat
  • Relevant NICET certifications (Construction Materials Testing; Asphalt, Concrete, Soils)
