Job Description :
- Perform tests on various materials in a construction setting; concrete, asphalt, soil, rebar, and various other construction site related tests and observations
- Inspecting and reporting on different aspects of construction projects, including, but not limited to : concrete pours, rebar replacement, pipe replacements, and weld quality inspections
- Responsible for documenting observations and results of various forms of testing and inspections, communication and data entry skills will be necessary
- Prepare, and maintain project records daily using a tablet
- Perform inspections to ensure compliance with state regulations, plans, and proposals related to road work, roadway, or pavement
- Notify Superior of any non-conforming work
- Assist in field during soil, concrete, and materials testing, and perform lab and onsite testing of construction materials, including but not limited to concrete, soil, and asphalt
- Could involve regional travel once fully trained and certified, expenses would be paid including lodging, mileage, a daily per diem for meals, and possible use of company vehicle
