Cath / IR Tech : Must have at least 2 years of prior IR / Cath Lab experience. Responsibilities : Assisting physicians with minimally invasive procedures with imaging guidance like Angioplasty, stenting and Thrombolysis. Performing imaging on heart and blood vessels, preparing patients for procedures and doing patient education. The x-ray techs are involved in performing IV venograms independently prior to pacemaker and ICD insertions. They also help with placing closure devices. This requires the RT scrubbing to be able to operate the X-ray equipment independently, which requires OH rad license. Number of labs : They have 3 labs Procedures per day : typically about 10-12 outpatient procedures per day. Equipment used : Phillips X-Ray, Merge Hemo for Procedure Charting Required Certs & Licenses : BLS and ARRT (cannot accept RCIS) Plusses : 2-3 years experience; work experience in 200 bed hospital. Ideal candidate would have experience in both Cath Lab and IR so they can float between the two if volume dictates it. Shift : Variable AM M-F (start 7a or 8a), 40hrs (5x8s or 4x10). On Call every 3-4 days during week (Monday - Friday) and every 3rd to 4th weekend. Weekend / Holiday requirement : No weekends (unless on call), no holidays. Scrub Color : Caribbean Blue.
