What are the responsibilities and job description for the Radiology - Interventional Physician position at ProLocums?
Hospital is seeking a LOCUM interventional radiologist to join their Hospital team ASAP!
- Coverage needed due to physician retirement
- Hospital-based practice setting
- Schedule : 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., call coverage for entire week if working that week
- Average of 8-11 cases daily, with high volume of paracentesis, thoracentesis, and biopsies
- Level 3 Trauma Center with an annual ER volume of 55,000
- EMR : EPIC; teleradiology via Radia on Philips ISite platform
- Team : 2 interventional radiologists locally, 25 system-wide; standard hospital IR support staff
- Patient population : Adults (includes geriatric and adolescent patients)
- Board Certification required : AOBR or ABR
- Fellowship training required in Interventional Radiology (IR)
- Required procedures : Angiography, CT, Ultrasound
- Required interventional procedures : Angioplasty, stent placement, chemoembolization, embolization, aortic aneurysm endograft stent, needle biopsy, thrombolysis, and kyphoplasty
- Credentialing timeframe : Approximately 3-4 months
