A General Physician specializing in surgery, primarily handling emergency calls from the ER and other facilities. The role includes performing EGD, colonoscopy, and pediatric appendectomies while collaborating with hospitalist services for patient admissions. This position does not involve surgical clinic coverage and excludes neonatal surgeries.
For CALL only, no surgery clinic coverage. 2-4 calls from ER and nearby facilities per day. Hospitalist service will do most admissions. Avg 2 hospitalist consults per day. Candidate must do EGD and colonoscopy procedures. Also able to place tunneled permcath for hemodialysis access. (See specialty listing) Appendicitis and cholecystitis are common. Important : Required Pediatric appendectomies 2 years old and older. No neonatal surgery. No other pediatric surgeries.
