The employee shall compile and record production data for industrial establishments to compare records and reports on volume of production, consumption of material, QC, and other aspects of production. The employee shall perform any combination of the following duties: 

  • Compile and record production data from customer orders, work tickets, product specifications, and individual worker production sheets following prescribed recording procedures and using different word processing techniques; 
  • Calculate such factors as types and quantities of items produced, materials used, amount of scrap, frequency of defects, and worker and department production rates, using a computer, calculator and/or spreadsheets; 
  • Write production reports based on data compiled, tabulated and computed, following prescribed formats; 
  • Maintain files of documents used and prepared; 
  • Compile detailed production sheets or work tickets for use by production workers as guides in assembly or manufacture of products; 
  • Review and prepare written work schedules based on established guidelines and priorities; 
  • Compile material inventory records; 
  • Prepare requisitions for procurement of materials and supplies; 
  • Chart production, using CHMT, graph, or pegboard based on statistics compiled for reference by production and management personnel. 
  • Sort and distribute work tickets or material and may compute wages from employee time cards and post wage data on records used for preparation of payroll. 
  • Maintain A/C and engine logbooks and Aeronautical Equipment Service Records (AESR) IA W the latest version of COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 using the Naval Aviation Logistics Command Management Information System (NALCOMIS) Optimized-Organizational Maintenance Activity (OOMA). The Government will train and certify Contractor personnel in A/C log and record certification, as deemed necessary by the Government. Only designated personnel shall make entries into A/C logbooks and records and AESR. 
  • Provide analyses, technical studies and reports in support of validating and verifying the Maintenance Plan. The employee shall use the Government provided databases including MRPII, MAXIMO, ASKARS, Commercial Asset Visibility (CAY) 7.2 Web Database, EXCEL and ACCESS to maintain accurate inventory tracking of all components, materials and kits currently in the maintenance process within the FRCSE. For tracking inventory at warehouses not onboard NAS JAX, the employee shall utilize the existing Excel inventory tracking system provided by FRCSE. 
  • The employee shall receive, stow, issue and maintain current database governed by National Stock Number (NSN), National Item Identification Number (NIIN) part number (PIN) and serial number (SIN) for all types of conditioned material (i.e, Ready for Issue (RFI), ready for use (RFU), and Individual Material Readiness List (IMRL) material); inspect material to ensure PINs, SINs received are inspected for damage or mismatch.
  • Employee shall arrange in-plant transfer of materials/kits or components to meet production schedules. 
  • Utilize current assigned systems for inventorying components in the appropriate work center, extract daily dispatch reports for level loading, and monitor/expedite work and component/material requirements to fulfill A/C, engine, In Service Repair, and component schedules. CPCs shall purge invalid W/Os from the Work in Process (WIP) file weekly. 
  • Coordinate and expedite flow of material, parts, and assemblies within or between maintenance departments IA W production and shipping schedules or department manager's priorities. 
  • Confer with production managers and other production controllers (PCs) to determine materials required or overdue and locate materials. 
  • Arrange internal transfer of materials to meet production schedules.
  • Inventory material and component kits as separate parts to facilitate customers' request for the addition or removal of individual parts from specified A/C kits. 
  • Receive requests for A/C components, component kits, materials, and A/C engine and engine parts via telephone, electronic mail (e-mail) or the Universal Callboard system. 
  • Prepare the requested items for pick-up, delivery and/or shipping.

Required Experience, Training & Certifications:

  • Must have recent and documented experience with Naval Aviation maintenance control, material control and or production control experience.
  • Past documented experience with NALCOMIS, OOMA, and Microsoft office applications are required.
  • Any candidate that has past FRCSE Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP II) data system experience is a plus.
  • History of working in a well-structured industrial environment, a working knowledge of lean six sigma and ISO 9000 principles is desirable.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Previous experience in forklift operations desired.

Physical Demands

  • This position requires normal physical functions.
  • Work may require frequent bending, reaching and climbing.  
  • May frequently lift and carry items weighing up to fifty pounds and occasionally lift heavier items with the assistance of other workers.   
  • May be required to work in areas in the hangar that are noisy and dusty.
  • May be exposed to moderate discomforts, such as heat, cold and wind.  

Required Security Clearance Eligibility:  

  • Applicant must be a US Citizen and able to pass a background check with the Department of Defense.
