Summary
- Job Title: IT Technician Tier I Support
- Job Type: Full-time Contractor
- Hours of Operation: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM, M-F
- Rate of Pay: $17.00/hr. based on experience (annual salary of $35,360.00), plus bonuses*
Qualifications
- A Certification (or relevant 2 years of experience)
- Required: Valid US Driver's License
- Must pass a 7-year background check and drug screening
- 1-3 years of experience installing, diagnosing, and repairing desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices required
- Imaging desktop/laptop equipment and Image recovery using Ghost and
WDS preferred
- Install / Reinstall various software packages and updates
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft Excel
- General computer skills and familiarity with principles of Information
Technology
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent organizational, time management, and critical thinking skills
- Must be resourceful, reliable, and respectful
- Must have a positive and professional attitude
- Must be ambitious, autonomous, and an enthusiastic team player
- Active listening skills and a strong customer service mindset
- Military background is highly desirable
Description of Position
- Test, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair desktops and laptops
- Replace and/or repair faulty components on items
- Configure computer systems
- Install various software and apps, as needed
- Image using WDS and/or Ghost
- Update issue and resolution in a ticketing system
- Physically move items in location and in the Inventory Management System
(IMS), distribute laptops to users, and maintain an organized inventory of spare equipment
- Coordinate with the Team Lead, Project Managers, and members of the
Management team regarding special orders, requests, and procedures
- Coordinate with members of other departments regarding the location or availability of inventory items
- Follow all protocols and documentation or processes of the configuration team
