We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Billing & Coder WITH FOLLOW UP INSURANCE EXPERIENCE to join our healthcare team. The candidate will be responsible for accurately processing patient medical records and ensuring timely payment from insurance providers. This role requires strong knowledge of medical terminology, coding, and billing procedures, with a focus on maintaining the highest level of patient confidentiality and care. Candidate must also have follow up insurance experience.

Duties:
- Review and analyze patient medical records, including diagnoses, treatments, and services provided.
- Assign accurate ICD-9 and CPT codes to ensure accurate billing and coding practices.
- Prepare and submit medical claims to insurance providers, ensuring compliance with DRG and other relevant regulations.
- Manage and maintain accurate medical billing records, including patient demographic information, insurance coverage, and payment history.
- Conduct medical collections and resolve any discrepancies or denials in a professional and timely manner.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced medical office environment, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Utilize electronic health records (EHRs) and billing systems to streamline the billing process and improve efficiency.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines in all aspects of the job.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and other medical office staff to ensure accurate and timely billing practices.

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medical coding principles, including ICD-9 and CPT codes.
- Experience with medical billing software and electronic health records (EHRs).

- Experience working in a medical office setting or similar healthcare environment.
