Are you a skilled Precision Grinder looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity? We are seeking an experienced professional to set up and operate manual and CNC grinding machines for precision ID, OD, and form grinding in our client’s fast-paced manufacturing environment. What You'll Do:
. Set up and operate CNC precision grinding equipment, including ID, OD, form, multi-axis, and flat surface grinding.
. Read blueprints/layouts to visualize grinding processes and plan operational sequences.
. Work with diamond and super-abrasive grinding wheels, including dressing and rotary dressing techniques.
. Perform various grinding methods: plunge, traverse, face, form, multi-axis, and angle grinding.
. Ensure precision using micrometers, indicators, bore gauges, height stands, gauge blocks, and pins (tolerances of .0001”).
. Select and use specialized equipment, including grinding magnets, vises, sine plates, and fixtures.
. Apply trigonometry, geometry, and general math skills to calculate angular and positional accuracy.
. Address abrasive wheel wear, taper issues, and grinding inaccuracies for optimal results.
. Operate multiple machines efficiently while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
What We're Looking For:
✅ 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
✅ 3-5 years of experience in setting up and operating CNC precision grinding machines.
✅ Knowledge of CNC machining and programming (trade school or vocational training preferred).
✅ Strong understanding of grinding principles, abrasives, speeds & feeds, and precision measurement.
✅ Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous process improvement.
Education & Certification:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associate’s degree preferred.
Physical Requirements:
✔ Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
✔ Ability to stand for 10-hour shifts.
✔ Strong manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, and attention to detail.
✔ Ability to bend, twist, and turn as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary : $27 - $32
