About the Job
The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist position requires a skilled professional who can perform complex procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
Under the direction of a radiologist, you will obtain high-quality scans, which are then interpreted by a radiologist to evaluate disease or abnormality.
You will collaborate with radiologists and other staff physicians to ensure smooth diagnostic CT procedures.
Responsibilities
- Acquire high-quality scans for patient diagnosis and treatment
- Support radiologists or other staff physicians in diagnostic CT procedures as needed
- Carry out general radiology duties
Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- Formal education in radiology technology from an AMA-approved school
- Skillful communication and interpersonal abilities
- Able to manage stress and deadlines in a fast-paced medical environment
- Proficiency in facility communication systems and equipment (EMR/PACS, fax machines)
- Able to input and retrieve data from radiology or other medical equipment and computerized systems
Licenses and Certifications
You must hold the following certifications:
- ARRT registry requirements and CT registration
- CPR certification
