About the Role
The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist performs complex professional procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
Under the direction of a radiologist, you will obtain high-quality scans, which are interpreted by a radiologist in the evaluation of disease or abnormality.
You will work closely with radiologists and other staff physicians to assist in diagnostic CT procedures as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Secure high-quality scans for patient diagnosis and treatment
- Support radiologists or other staff physicians in diagnostic CT procedures as needed
- Conduct general radiology job functions
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Completed formal radiology technology training at an AMA-approved school
- Effective interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with patients and staff
- Ability to handle stressful situations and deadlines in a fast-paced medical environment
- Competency in facility communication systems and equipment (EMR/PACS, fax machines)
- Ability to input and retrieve information from radiology or other medical equipment and computerized systems
Certifications and Licenses
You must hold:
- ARRT registry requirements and CT registration
- CPR certification
