Job Description
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS / SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Reports to the Vice President of Operations. There are no direct reports at this time, but the role may include a small team of coordinators or specialists.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of Hospital Services, EVS and Nutrition Services will be responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of contracted and outsourced services for Environmental Services (EVS) & Nutritional Services (NS), as well as ancillary services such as off-site cleaning, laundry and linen management, cleaning supplies and sharps disposal. This role will ensure that all service providers meet the company's operational standards, performance expectations, and compliance requirements. The Director of Operations will also oversee and operationalize all other EVS & NS responsibilities not provided in outsourced agreements that are still handled internally. They will lead cross-functional teams to optimize operations, contracts, monitor service provider performance, and drive continuous improvements while maintaining strong relationships with external partners.
ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Vendor and Contract Management : Manage all EVS & NS service contracts to ensure they meet business objectives, quality standards, satisfaction goals and financial targets. Serves as the primary operational liaison for EVS & NS services for both internal teams and external contractors. Collaborate with Supply Chain Sourcing and Contracting teams in negotiating contract terms, contract renewals, and work with Supply Chain and Legal as needed to ensure favorable outcomes.
2. Contract Compliance and Performance Monitoring : Regularly evaluate the performance of outsourced contracts. Ensure adherence to contractual terms, service level agreements (SLAs), and company policies. Monitor key performance indicators, address performance gaps, and ensure continuous improvement. Ensure strict adherence to all regulatory, accreditation and compliance requirements, including infection prevention control, safety, and patient experience standards.
3. Vendor Management : Establish, maintain, and grow relationships with external vendors, contractors, and service providers.
4. Budget and Cost Management : Develop and manage the budget for contracted services, ensuring cost-effectiveness while maintaining high standards of service delivery.
5. Reporting and Analysis : Provide regular reports and insights to senior management on contract performance, costs, and operational outcomes. Utilize data to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement.
6. Internal Stakeholder Management : Cultivate strong working relationships with internal stakeholders including clinical leaders, nursing, support services, supply chain, finance, and senior leadership. Serve as the responsive liaison to ensure that internal needs are understood, addressed, and incorporated into service delivery. Proactively facilitate open communication, gather feedback, and resolve conflicts related to EVS and NS services.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education : Bachelor's degree
Skills : Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Analytical mindset with the ability to assess contract performance and identify areas for improvement. Exceptional project management skills with experience in managing complex contracts and timelines.
Years of Experience : 5 years' experience in operations management, experience with third-party services & contract management.
