ProMedica is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Patient Care Technician II to join our team. As a Patient Care Technician II, you will provide direct patient care and support to our patients and their families, working closely with physicians and nursing staff to ensure the highest level of quality care.
**Key Responsibilities:**
• Assist patients with ADLs (activities of daily living) and ambulation
• Perform point of care testing, including newborn screening, hearing, and CCHD testing
• Assist patients with transportation and positioning
• Prepare and maintain patient records according to standards/policy
Education and Experience:
* High school graduate or equivalent
* EMT Specialist or 2nd year nursing student or CNA
* One year of experience in an acute care setting delivering patient care
Skills and Qualifications:
* Ability to read, write, and speak the English language
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Basic math and computer skills
Work Environment:
You will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where no two days are ever the same. You will be expected to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work effectively in a team environment. You will be required to wear personal protective equipment, including eye and face protection, gown, mask, sterile and/or non-sterile gloves, and lift up to 50 pounds.
