Job Summary
The Charles and Virginia Hickman Hospital is launching a comprehensive wellness destination, providing the community with enhanced access to nutrition education, exercise resources, and advanced healthcare services. This state-of-the-art facility boasts 200,000 square feet, including 58 acute care beds in a regional hospital, accompanied by an organic farm offering nutrition education and therapies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develops and administers physical therapy treatment programs to facilitate patient rehabilitation and maximize function and independence.
- Directs patient participation in selected tasks to restore, reinforce, and enhance performance.
- Facilitates the learning of essential skills and functions for adaptation and productivity.
Accountabilities:
- Aplies knowledge and skills to provide age-appropriate care for patients (infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and/or geriatric).
- Demonstrates competence, awareness, and sensitivity to the physical, emotional, and socio-psychological needs of patients across all age groups.
- Conducts physical therapy evaluations and selects, administers, and interprets standardized and non-standardized assessments using age-specific criteria.
- Develops and implements a physical therapy treatment plan according to a valid prescription and in accordance with policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
- License: Current PT License in State of practice.
- Certification: BLS.
