We are looking for a dedicated and dependable Custodian / Janitor to join our team! As part of our facilities maintenance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our building, grounds, and office areas are maintained to the highest cleanliness standards. Key Responsibilities :
- General Cleaning : Sweep, mop, scrub, and polish bathrooms, offices, hallways, and other designated areas to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
- Trash Management : Regularly empty and decontaminate trash containers, ensuring proper waste disposal procedures are followed.
- Furniture & Fixture Care : Move, rearrange, dust, and polish furniture and fixtures as needed to maintain cleanliness and organization.
- Floor Care : Clean, wax, and maintain floors using industrial-sized mops and / or cleaning machines. Strip and polish floors using buffing equipment to ensure long-lasting cleanliness.
- Window & Surface Cleaning : Wash blinds, windows, walls, and other surfaces with prescribed cleaning solutions to maintain a spotless facility.
- Carpet Maintenance : Sweep sidewalks and tiled surfaces, and operate a wet / dry vacuum to clean and shampoo carpeted areas.
- Equipment Maintenance : Maintain cleaning equipment and notify the Center Director and Facilities Manager of any maintenance needs, including minor building repairs.
- Lighting & Safety : Replace light bulbs as needed and report any safety hazards to the Center Director and Facilities Manager immediately to ensure a safe environment.
- Groundskeeping : Assist with outdoor tasks such as cutting grass, trimming shrubs, watering plants, and maintaining the exterior grounds as assigned.
- Building Maintenance : Perform minor repairs, such as painting, scraping, and repairing ceilings and walls, to ensure the facility remains in top condition.
- Furniture Setup : Occasionally assist in assembling and setting up furniture for the center.
- Inventory Management : Maintain detailed inventory logs for cleaning supplies and track cleaning activities in restrooms, kitchens, and other key areas.
- Cross-Center Coverage : Provide custodial coverage at other IPRHE centers when needed, ensuring consistent cleanliness across all locations.
