Position Summary:
The Social Worker Supervisor (Clinical Supervisor) is responsible to oversee the clinical department, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, fiscal management, monitoring and bench marking, managing the intake process, and overseeing the coordination of all aspect of the clinical department in general.
The position pays $89,095 annually.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain compliance with department protocols and overall program objectives
- Provide guidance, support, and supervision to the clinical team
- Determine and develop approaches to documentation, management of assignments and processes
- Review documents for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to all regulations and procedures
- Trains the clinical team on change processes fostering compliance
- Solve a broad range of related problems of varying scope and complexity
- Coordinate periodic review and revision of procedures
- Support the department’s regulatory audits, through preparation and presentation of required documentation
- Maintain document control system including archiving records according to the records retention policy
- Conduct mental health status determination during admission/orientation phase and at other appropriate times during the treatment phases
- Provide supervision for all cases requiring social worker level involvement by managed care or other referrals agencies
- Manage the training department to ensure proper and timely trainings are carried out monthly for staff professional development
- Develop and maintain referral linkages with outside agencies and organizations to meet the needs of program clients
- Collaborates with all other departments to support the clinical department’s objectives
- Lead the multidisciplinary treatment team in case conferences
- Tasks may be modified, expanded, and/or assigned over time as needed
- Occasional work outside of standard work hours or on weekends
- Occasional trips to the community
- Almost always: Fingering, extended sitting, (remaining seated without being able to stand for long periods of time),
- Seldom: Bending, climbing, kneeling, lifting, reaching, extended standing (requires standing without being able to sit for long periods of time), extended walking (requires walking without being able to stop or rest for long periods of time)
- Sedentary work (equivalent to lifting approximately 10 pounds with occasional lifting and/or carrying of small objects. A minimal amount of walking or standing may be required)
Requirements:
- Master of Social Work from an accredited institution
- Valid New York State LMSW/LCSW license
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience with supervisory practice
- Previous relevant experience in delivering social services in the substance abuse field and residential settings
- Knowledge of regulatory body policies, procedures, and protocols
- Ability to deal with sensitive issues with diplomacy and discretion
- Ability to use business acumen to exercise good judgment and decision-making
- Experience working with Microsoft Office
- Experience using electronic records to include STARS and Awards/Foothold
- Bilingual Spanish/English, preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills and able to communicate both verbally and in written form.
- Must be able to multitask with strong organization sills
