Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The LPN will work under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care while adhering to established protocols and standards.
Duties
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist with catheter care and IV insertion for patients requiring such interventions.
- Provide support in medical-surgical settings, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Engage in acute pain management strategies to alleviate patient discomfort.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on health management, medication administration, and lifestyle modifications.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinical environment, including the proper handling of Durable Medical Equipment (DME).
Experience
- Previous experience in an ICU or acute care setting is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with primary care practices and clinic operations is a plus.
- Proficient in performing vital sign assessments, catheter care, IV insertion, and basic medical procedures.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to demonstrate compassion and empathy while providing patient-centered care.
