What are the responsibilities and job description for the Budget Analyst_JFHQ position at Prominent Global Solutions?
Responsibilities:
- Support all phases of the Budget planning and programming to include preparing Program Objective Memorandum (POM) inputs, Budget Exhibits, and supporting JFHQ
- Develop/Forecast annual budgets.
- Support the preparation of command, agency, or Presidential budgets and assist in preparation of required supporting justification.
- Attend budget briefings and conferences and assist in answering questions to justify and defend budget estimates, program and resource requirements, and appropriation requests
- Assist in the development of detailed programming and financial planning justification and documentation for inclusion in the POM and FYDP.
- Support the programs by identifying, producing and submitting program and budget requirements for Civilian Pay, Operations and Maintenance Funds (O&M), Procurement Funds (PROC) and Research, Development, Test and Evaluation Funds (RDT&E) and OCO funds.
- Review Daily Status of Funds (SOF) Reports/Dashboard Reports and provide consolidated reports and briefings for the Portfolio Reviews, Mid-year and End-of -Year Reporting.
- Compile and consolidate acquisition actions while checking for consistency, accuracy and compliance with the budget cycle, for the associated acquisition action. Acquisition actions shall be reviewed and approved by the Government only.
- Provide analysis to monitor execution plans.
- The contractor shall inform the Government on key deviations and issues.
Qualification Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (preferably in a financial or business discipline) plus 3 years of relative experience. In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree 7 years of experience.
- Experience writing and or researching within DoD Appropriations and budget documents
- Experience with the execution of Appropriated funding
- Excellent written communication skills
- Expert level user of Microsoft Office Software and SharePoint
Clearance Requirements:
- Top Secret/ SCI Eligible
Place of Performance:
- Hybrid- Telework and on-site 3 days per week
