Promise Care NJ is seeking an individual who will be responsible for ensuring that prior authorizations are received before services are performed.
Authorizations Process Specialist Responsibilities:
- Requesting and following up on authorizations according to insurance plan requirements
- Checking insurance eligibility
- Appealing denied authorizations
- Responsible for accurate data entry of authorizations
- Ensuring accuracy of corrections and adjustments to authorizations
Authorizations Process Specialist Skills and Qualifications:
- Knowledge of MS office and ER software
- At least one year experience as an authorizations/billing specialist
- At least three years experience in home health
- Attention to detail
- Insurance verification: 1 year (Preferred)
- Medical billing: 1 year (Preferred)
Authorizations Process Specialist Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Expected hours: 40 per week
