Job Summary
We are seeking a licensed dental hygienist to join our team at Promise Healthcare, a Federally Qualified Health Center dedicated to improving the health of the community. The successful candidate will provide educational, preventative, and clinical therapeutic services to patients of all ages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess dental condition and needs of patients, including screening of head, neck, and oral cavity for disease
- Perform dental prophylaxis, topical fluoride application, sealants, radiographs, patient education, and plaque control program
- Accurately document patient health history, including allergies, current medications, surgeries, and new medical conditions
- Provide patient education on oral health and document in clinical notes
- Risk assessment for exposure to blood borne pathogens
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program
- Previous dental experience desired but not required
- Bilingual language skills (Spanish or French) preferred but not required
Work Environment:
- Dental operatory and equipment
- Usual office environment
- Possibility of travel from clinic to clinic in own vehicle or dental van as required
