Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated self motivated person to be an on call supervisor for PHC. This position will pay a salary of 40 hours a week (conditional).
Oncall Supervisor Duties
- Build / monitor schedule to ensure coverage
- Work 30 hours a week by a combination of working with clients / building the schedule / Field checks
- Be ready to fill shifts during call outs by finding coverage or covering the shift within 30 min
- Weekly meetings for training and to discuss progress / concerns
- Cover new clients until new caregivers are hired
- Train new/existing caregivers on new/updated policies and with new clients
- Must not be late or call out for any shift. Must not refuse to cover shifts.
Caregiver Duties (when covering shifts)
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Remind of any medications
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to enhance their social interaction.
- Implement care plans tailored to individual client needs.
- Support clients with heavy lifting or mobility assistance as required.
- Monitor and document changes in client condition, reporting any concerns to supervisor.
- Assist clients with memory care strategies for those experiencing cognitive challenges.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
Experience
- Previous experience in home care or assisted living environments is preferred.
- Experience in memory care settings is advantageous but not required.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting clients with mobility needs is essential.
- Strong communication skills, empathy, and patience are critical for success in this role.
