Assists with the operations of the CSPA and Cath Lab, and provides supervision to the CSPA and Cath Lab staff. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Assists the Director of Cardiovascular Services with Cath Lab operations, including but not limited to, complaint resolution, cost control, process improvement, scheduling, and staff performance. Identifies, communicates, and monitors improvement indicators to improve patient care. Promotes and role models effective communication, professional relationships and staff accountability. Completes rounding and evaluations on staff members. Performs monthly infection control audits and monthly patient chart audits. Monitors equipment and supplies in coordination with the Inventory Manager. Responsible for product billing and recovery charges. Abides by the Health Insurance portability and Accountability privacy and security regulations regarding all aspects of Protected Health Information. MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: Basic understanding of applied nursing principles and radiation safety concepts. Basic computer skills. Must be able to lead and/or facilitate process improvement. MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Completion of an approved RN in the state of Kansas One year experience in a Cath Lab.
