What are the responsibilities and job description for the Decision Support - Senior Revenue Cycle Analyst position at Promise Regional Medical Center Hutchinson?
This position reports to the Decision Support Director and is primarily responsible for providing expertise in the design, development, implementation, and data integrity of decision support systems. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Serves as Project Manager / Project Lead for projects as directed by Director of Decision Support and/or CFO • Demonstrates advanced use of technology to support ad-hoc reporting and analysis, as well as database creation and maintenance • Knowledgeable in all cycles of Revenue Cycle. • Work with Director of Decision support to develop clear and well-structured reporting to hospital association, governmental entities, audit firms, as well as, organization department leaders. • Financial and operational data mining, validation, analysis, and interpretation to provide timely, reliable, and actionable reports/KPI’s/dashboards to support organization goals and process improvement initiatives. • Payor Contract Modeling • CDM strategic market pricing, considering the impact under multiple payment models • Ad-hoc A/R reimbursement, denial management, charge capture, and revenue integrity audits • New program feasibility studies, proforma forecasts, and scenario modeling • Create data solutions to support business goals of the department and/or organization • Industry and regulatory compliance initiatives, such as Price Transparency • Process automation initiatives (through technology, process documentation, and training) • Other duties as assigned MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: • Intermediate to Advanced expertise in Excel, Access, SQL, Power BI, EHR/EMR, and Report Writing preferred • Highly analytical and detail-oriented • Exceptional problem-solving skills demonstrating independent, creative thinking and root cause analysis • Ability to simplify complex data analysis into concise and user-friendly reports for management • Effective communication and presentation skills, working with peers and all levels of the organization • Strong interpersonal skills required to build professional relationships across the organization • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines within a fast-paced, dynamic environment • PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: • N/A REQUIRED BEHAVIORAL SKILLS: • INTEGRITY: o A personal presence which is characterized by a sense of honesty and the willingness to do the right thing. o The ability to role model, inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission, vision, goals and values of Hutchinson Regional Healthcare System. • COMPASSION: o A personal presence which is characterized by a sense of caring that is reflected in a high level of empathy and customer service with all that we come in contact. o Ability to manage conflict, consider other points of view, and offer alternative solutions without jeopardizing overall project direction and the ability to manage customer expectations. • ACCOUNTABILITY: o Demonstrated track record of ownership of situations, projects and issues. o Able to work autonomously and have a high degree of flexibility to adapt to changing projects, priorities and work volumes. • RESPECT: o Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a diverse population. o Treat all internal and external customers with a positive, proactive service orientation. • EXCELLENCE: o Strong communication and presentation skills with a proven ability to influence and lead teams to conclusion/decision making. o Proven ability to think strategically but also must be able to lead day-to-day tactical processes. o Demonstrated ability to manage and provide coaching and leadership on complex projects. o Must be able to lead and/or facilitate process improvement.
