Job Description Summary Primary Care Physician to provide panel-focused outpatient primary care services at our Clinic. We are an evidence-based practice engaging and evolving technology to ensure the highest level of quality primary care. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Job Description ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Perform complete physical exams and assessments of patients including urgent, emergent and non-urgent presentation. Select, order, perform and interpret tests, analyses and diagnostic images to provide information on patient condition and augment physical findings. Analyze reports and findings of tests to diagnose patients. Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness and injury. Ascertain when referral to higher level of care and/or specialty services are needed and place referral, then communicate with and collaborate with specialists as needed to provide continuity of care. Explain procedures and discuss test results and prescribed treatments with patients. Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) to the fullest extent required to document patient care, including quality care metrics standard to primary care and use of an EHR. MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: Clinical experience or training in an office-based setting. Practical knowledge of medical coding and billing. Knowledge of state and federal regulations including OSHA, HIPAA, blood borne pathogens and others. Competent with common computer applications including Internet, Email, Microsoft Office products and ability to utilize an Electronic Health Record. Ability to work as part of a healthcare team.
