Assists with technical functions related to the scrub role for surgical procedures. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Provide quality, effective patient care through skilled assistance with surgical interventions. Is knowledgeable of the equipment and supplies for the surgical procedure. Prepare supplies and equipment for surgical procedures. Provide skilled assistance to the surgeon in terms of both manual dexterity and skill with instruments. Assists with timely turnover of surgical room following procedures Abides by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability privacy and security regulations regarding all aspects of Protected Health Information (PHI). MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: Knowledge of surgical procedures and instruments. Manual dexterity. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.
