Promises Brazos Valley is seeking an experienced Admissions Specialis t to join our team!
JOB SUMMARY
The Facility Admissions Specialist consults with potential clients to assess and provide recommendations for the appropriate program and / or facility to recommend for treatment, based on the client’s clinical presentation and needs. The Specialists facilitates tracking and documenting the disposition of potential clients from initial call, verification of benefits, pre-admissions assessment, and admission. The Specialists also facilitates client’s arrival and intake at the facility.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides consultative support for admission inquiries, including pre-admissions assessment and answering pre-admissions / general intake questions from potential clients or their referral sources for their respective facility.
- Initiates Verification of Benefits, and discusses insurance coverage and potential out-of-pocket costs with potential clients or the Financially Responsible Party.
- Facilitates effective telephone presentations to prospective clients
- Identifies qualified prospective clients and develops loyal customer relationships.
- Provides treatment recommendations within the Promises network of treatment centers utilizing the call center admissions specialists.
- Provides outbound referrals based on presenting issues to established referral sources or other behavioral healthcare providers while utilizing the call center admissions specialists.
- Assists with client retention by supporting current clients as requested.
- Tracks and documents the disposition of potential clients from initial call to admission
- Researches and expands knowledge of addiction and treatment programs and the facility to provide relevant and useful information to prospective clients.
- Maintains a professional, “clinical-style” approach when working with potential clients.
- Supports team admissions and achievement of department and company assigned census goals.
- Collaborates with referring professionals to coordinate client admission.
- Monitors facility bed board / bed availability and adequately scheduled clients for admission accordingly (both internal and from the call center admissions specialists).
- Facilitates intake process with clients upon arrival to the facility
- Provides clarification of Intake Forms and facilitates completion of Admissions Packets accordingly to client’s financial status (Insurance or Self-Pay).
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE an equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered.
