Position Summary
The Alumni Advisors facilitates and maintains assimilation of program attendees into Promises Behavioral Health facility-specific Rooted alumni program and provides continuous monitoring and support alumni services.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Participates in regular national alumni team meetings and 1/1 calls with the direct supervisor.
- Ensures that each client has been sufficiently educated on Promises alumni aftercare services and, if consenting, completes opt-in agreement to be contacted post-discharge
- Completes alumni profiles in Salesforce for all consenting clients within one-week post discharge from a Promises program
- Maintains/updates all alumni profiles in Salesforce when new information is gathered
- Documents each phone call made to alumni in Salesforce Completes aftercare calls at the following frequency post-discharge:
- 1 week, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 9 months & 1 year
- Facilitates weekly alumni services education groups with clients prior to discharge
- Facilitates weekly local alumni meetings (consisting of check-in, topic discussion and speaker meetings); schedules and maintains guest speaker lineup
- Facilitates weekly virtual alumni meetings
- Plans and facilitates monthly alumni events/activities including an annual Homecoming celebration. Monthly alumni events include a service project and FIRE event
- Coordinates with PBH marketing department and supplies them with essential information to develop print and digital graphics for alumni meetings and events
- Creates and maintains email blast schedule for meetings and events
- Creates a monthly alumni newsletter
- Maintains and monitors facility specific alumni social media page and PBH alumni app
- Other duties and special projects as requested by direct supervisor
- Has the autonomy to make decisions regarding their alumni department as it falls within the parameters of PBH Rooted Alumni Community national standards
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Must have knowledge of 12-step programs and/or additional recovery methods
- Event planning skills
- Exemplary interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; read and interpret written information; write clearly and informatively
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of all medical, financial, and legal information
- Ability to work effectively with diverse cultures, beliefs, and genders
- Knowledge of MS Office
- Available for alternate, evening and weekend schedules and shifts may be required to meet client needs, state and regulatory agency requirements and business necessity
Job Qualifications and Requirements
Education:
- Completion of a drug and alcohol studies program preferred
- Some college work preferred
Experience:
- 2 years' addiction or mental health related experience
Applicable State Requirements:
- Must meet pre-employment and maintain all applicable state and job-related guidelines for background screening, fingerprinting, drug testing, health screening (if applicable)
