The Promontory Club is looking to fulfill a vacancy for a Facilities Maintenance Technician Swing Shift – Full time.
The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the appearance and functionality of all buildings, meeting spaces, restaurants, facility amenities and common areas throughout the property.
Swing shift will be 12:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs general maintenance in buildings, pools, and common areas as assigned.
- Working knowledge of the use of hand tools and power tools.
- Working knowledge for repairing and troubleshooting: carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Repairs and installs appliances as needed with minimal supervision.
- Prevents and troubleshoots building maintenance systems.
- Inspects and performs preventative maintenance in all facility building and common areas.
- Responds to and repairs safety issues in buildings, pools, common areas, and equipment.
- Completes all daily assignments in a timely manner.
- Prioritizes work orders against daily assignments, keeping in constant contact with the department to update jobs completed.
- Ensure all fire protection systems are in working order and notify management of all needed repairs.
- Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries and unsafe work practices to management; complete safety training and certifications. Maintain files of Safety Data Sheets and follow safe work practices including Lock Out Tag Out program.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Maintenance Technician may also:
- Clean and maintain all pools and pool decks on property.
- Ensure that all pools are operating properly and that the water condition is correctly balanced at all times.
- Assist in other areas of maintenance such as grounds or in painting projects.
- Perform regular power washing of exterior areas of assigned grounds, buildings, or common areas.
- Prepare and secure property for advancing and predictable weather occurrences such as snow storms. Operates snow removal equipment to maintain walk ways and common areas.
- Maintain company vehicles, ensuring that they are operating properly and that routine maintenance is performed as needed.
- Maintain or repair specialized equipment in restaurant kitchens, laundry rooms and offices.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND CERTIFICATIONS: High School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; one-year certificate from college or trade school preferred; CPO Certification preferred; must be at least 21 years of age, have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass a background and motor vehicle check.
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 1 to 3 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience; basic computer skills and competency in the following, Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred.
WORKING KNOWLEDGE TO BE ACQUIRED ON JOB: Abide by Promontory policies and procedures and submit ideas for possible revision; work independently with little supervision; courteous and helpful with Promontory Club Members and employees.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs; must be willing to work various hours, nights, holidays and weekends.
Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Wages start at $23/hr and will be determined upon employment and will be commensurate with experience.
