Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Wok Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Asian cuisine, specifically in wok cooking and sushi preparation. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment, delivering high-quality dishes, and ensuring exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, cook, and present dishes using wok techniques and methods, following our restaurant’s recipes and standards.

• Prepare sushi with attention to detail, meeting food quality and presentation expectations.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper handling and storage of ingredients.

• Monitor stock levels, report shortages, and assist in kitchen restocking.

• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation procedures.

• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS OR EQUIVALENT:  High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred; Culinary Degree from an approved school or a combination of schooling and work experience is preferred; must have and maintain a TIPS and ServeSafe certification; must be at least 21 years of age. 

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Wok Cook and/or Sushi Cook.

• Knowledge of Asian cuisine, wok cooking techniques, and sushi preparation.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.

• Excellent attention to detail and high standards for food presentation.

• Strong understanding of food safety practices and hygiene standards.

• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Culinary training or certification in Asian cuisine.

• Previous experience in a high-volume restaurant setting.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS: Must be able to stand on feet for extended periods of time; ability to lift 15lbs frequently and the ability to lift 50lbs occasionally; must be able to work in hot and cold environments; must be willing to work various hours, nights, holidays and weekends when needed; must be able to work in hot and cold environments; must be willing to work at other F&B outlets at Community Club when required.

Wages range from $23/hr - $25/hr and will be determined upon employment and will be commensurate with experience.
