Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Food Technologist to join our Research and Development department at our headquarters in Park Ridge, New Jersey. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and scaling new food products from concept to commercialization. This will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to source raw materials, ensure regulatory compliance, and conduct sensory evaluations of ingredients and prototypes.
Key Responsibilities
- Bench-top formulation of new products and scale-up prototypes.
- Lead sensory evaluation of raw materials, flavors, products, and prototypes.
- Develop accurate formulations in our company system.
- Work with Supply Chain and Quality Assurance to source, screen, and qualify new raw materials and vendors.
- Conduct stability studies on existing and new products to confirm shelf life and other product attributes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nutrition, Food Science, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Snacks experience strongly preferred.
- 0-3 years of related experience preferable in the food industry.
- Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize in a fast-paced work environment.
- Excellent proofreading/editing skills.
- Possess strong organizational, analytical, and time-management skills.
