What Does a Service Advisor Do?
This role is all about customer service and communication—acting as the trusted go-between for clients and technicians. Responsibilities include:
- Greeting customers with a smile and listening to their concerns
- Scheduling appointments for maintenance and repairs
- Providing accurate cost estimates for parts and labor
- Recommending services based on vehicle needs and manufacturer guidelines
- Managing parts ordering and inventory levels
- Keeping customers informed about their vehicle’s repair status
- Following up after service to ensure satisfaction
- Maintaining organized records of service history, payments, and customer interactions
