PromptCare is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Pharmacist in Charge to join our team. As a pharmacist, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective use of medications by our patients and will be responsible for the operations and safety of the pharmacy, including compounding, dispensing, scheduling, purchasing, distribution, quality improvement and regulatory compliance. Reports to : Departmental Lead, Supervisor or Manager
Job Type : Full-Time, 32-40 hours per week, Monday-Friday w / on-call requirements
Location : Cedar Rapids, IA
Requirements
- B.S. or Doctor of Pharmacy degree is required or Registered pharmacist license if foreign graduate
- Active registered pharmacy license in the state of Iowa and additional states as required without restrictions
- PIC licensure required
- 1 year of hospital and home infusion therapy experience preferred
- Two years recent clinical pharmacy experience preferred
- Thorough knowledge of infusion therapies preferred
- Recent inventory management experience preferred
- Accuracy in mathematical calculations including pharmacokinetic dosing preferred
- Knowledge of Caretend and CPR software preferred

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending and twisting all day. The employee must be able to lift and / or move items over 30 pounds. Coordinated fine and gross motor movements and hand / eye movement. Maintain balance from any position. Attend to cognitive and psychomotor tasks for up to 7-12 hours. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust.
