PromptCare is highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our Ambulatory Infusion Center in Lenexa, Kansas. The Nurse Practitioner – IV will be responsible for the set up and oversite of the Infusion Center. The NP will provide primary patient care for specifically assigned patients to include assessments, care planning, evaluation and education of patients receiving infusion therapy and/or other nursing services in accordance with the best practices in an alternate site setting. Job Type: Part-Time, eight (8) hours per week
Location: Lenexa, KS
Requirements
- Active registered advanced practice nurse practitioner license without restrictions.
- 45 hours of advanced pharmaceutical course work successfully completed.
- PA NOTE-written agreement has to be filed with the department of state, professional licensing division board of nursing.
- Physician Assistant Certification Registration and Licensure by the State Board of Medical Examiners/Physician Assistant Advisory Board.
OR
- Master’s degree in nursing.
- NP certification.
- Registered professional nurse with current state licensure, CDS and DEA.
- Prior work experience as a professional nurse.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advances Life Support (ACLS) Certifications.
- Active membership in a professional organization preferred.
- Ability and willingness to accommodate scheduling needs including working extended hours, weekdays, weekends, overnights, and holidays.
Job Responsibilities, included but not limited to:
- Develop and maintain caseload scheduling and communications on a weekly and monthly basis in updating schedule with changes.
- Orders and interprets diagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to patients age-specific needs.
- Monitors the effectiveness of treatment and interventions.
- Document all patient care activities and interventions as required by organizational policy and procedure and law and regulation.
- Coordinate care via live telephone and/or video conversations with the team as determined by the urgency of information to be relayed.
- Facilitates staff, patient and family decision making by providing educational tools.
- Prescribes appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities upon consultation with the patient’s physician.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

This position is highly active and requires lifting a minimum weight of 35 pounds, and perform repetitive standing, sitting, stooping, walking, stretching, reaching, typing and use full range of body motions.
