PromptCare is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. The PCC processes inbound orders from our referral sources and requests for assistance from our patients through a variety of mediums, including inbound and outbound calls, faxes, and e-mails. The PCC must become proficient in the use of our enterprise system to enable the accurate processing of new patient orders and re-orders for existing patients. The PCC will also act as a pharmacy technician when and as needed. Reporting to: Departmental Lead, Supervisor or Manager
Job Type: Full-time, Mon-Fri 8:30am-5:00pm
Location: Cedar Rapids, IA
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with patient admissions in a similar referral source-based practice setting and customer service in an inbound/outbound customer service center is strongly preferred
- Customer service experience in a Home Medical Equipment company is strongly preferred, but previous customer service experience in the healthcare services business is also acceptable
- Previous experience working with infusion therapy patients is highly desirable
- Active Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT) required
Job Responsibilities, included but not limited to:
- Call all patients to schedule medications, and supplies delivery
- Manage medical equipment
- Manage labs
- Place renewal orders for pharmacy prescriptions or supplies
- Call nursing agencies for supply needs
- Prepare, package and label medications for deliveries
- Track equipment
- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Adhere to all pharmacy regulations and guidelines
- Other additional job duties

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen. The employee frequently is required to stand and walk, ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. This position may require the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, of 20-35 pounds.
