The Unified Student Information Management system takes a strategic approach to optimize the student journey by focusing on platform rationalization and portfolio consolidation. This involves streamlining and simplifying the various platforms used across SUNY campuses to ensure they are efficient, user-friendly, and aligned with the needs of students, faculty, and administrators. By consolidating disparate systems into a cohesive IT environment, SUNY aims to eliminate silos, enhance authorized data sharing, and improve the overall user experience. Required Experience:

The Application Data Engineer - Student Systems will perform a range of technical and advisory functions aimed at supporting and improving student-focused applications and systems.
Key responsibilities:
* Data Integration and Pipeline Development
* Design and develop scalable data pipelines to process and analyze large datasets.
* Implement data integration solutions using ETL tools and frameworks.
* Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data flows to ensure reliability, quality, and integrity.
* Develop and maintain documentation for data models and integration processes.
* Partner with application developers, data scientists, and business analysts to align data integration efforts with student information systems (SIS), learning management systems (LMS), and other related platforms.
* Design & Develop solutions that enhance the student experience and streamline administrative processes.
