Sales Support Specialist
Summary
The Sales Support Specialist is responsible for supporting Pronto’s Sales teams with a number of tasks during the sales process and assists with customer interaction driven by Pronto’s website and social media outlets.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Assist in the preparation of quotes, RFP and RFI responses for potential customers.
- Assist with Customer Service overflow back-up requirements taking inbound calls from customers wanting to place an order, check status, etc. This will require a comprehensive understanding and proficiency of the Dispatch Science order screens, vehicle capacities, and of course, advanced customer service skills.
- Maintain and update all pricing rates cards and discount programs.
- Assist in the training of customers who desire to use online ordering. This may include a concerted marketing effort (in support of the Marketing Manager) to specific customer segments that would prefer an impersonal ordering process.
- Conduct research as prescribed to assist Management and the Sales organization with understanding market trends, specific industry segment trends, and customer satisfaction.
- Assist in supporting Sales teams with developing custom presentations for prospective clients. This may be in conjunction with the Marketing Manager.
- Gain exposure to the real-time selling process through joining Sales representatives and/or Account Managers in sales calls as applicable.
- Assist Sales with customer conflicts as they arise – working effectively with Operations to report and resolve.
- Manage and maintain sales results reporting according to the standards required to meet Management expectations.
- Attend internal Sales meetings to be exposed to real-time performance reporting.
- Assist in the development of Sales training material and be able to transfer that knowledge in the onboarding process.
- Basic understanding of Customer Relationship Management systems. Knowledge of HubSpot is a plus.
- Monitor and respond to lead capture prospects generated through Pronto’s website.
- Set up accounts as applicable; assigning accounts to Outside Sales (DFW & Houston), Logistics, and AM if those accounts have potential to grow larger than a single delivery event.
- Promote and protect the company brand where applicable.
Qualifications
- Strong negotiation and customer service skills
- 2-3 years of proven experience in sales support, particularly in B2B environments
- Familiarity with CRM tools such as HubSpot
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Experience in account management and business development
- Knowledge of retail sales and selling techniques
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively with all organizational levels
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
