Proof of the Pudding is the proud and exclusive food & beverage partner for Zoo Atlanta’s Special Events, where elegant spaces meet wild places. Zoo Atlanta not only is home to a wide variety of animals; it is also home to some of the most stylish and unique event spaces in Atlanta.
We are seeking bartenders to join our events team. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, ability, physical demands and work environment associated with this position and are not intended to be all-inclusive.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for both pre & post bar set-up/break down responsibilities.
- Sets bar up in a timely manner.
- Communicates well with bar back during event to assist them with replenishment during shift.
- Greets all guests and gives exceptional customer service.
- Attentive to guests needs throughout the entire event.
- Cleans bar after closing, discard excess ice.
- Record closing inventory used to balance bar consumption vs sales.
- Responsible for placing all items back in bar box as originally received.
Performs other related duties as required
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- 2 years of bartending experience
- Must be a team player and a phenomenal communicator.
- Must be experienced in preparing mixed drinks.
- Must have exceptional customer service skills.
- Must be TIPs certified (will accept similar accredited certifications).
- Must be extremely hardworking and organized.
- Must be exceedingly responsible and accountable.
- Maintain good grooming and personal hygiene.
- Knowledge of upscale/VIP service styles required.
- Must live near or be willing to relocate to Atlanta, GA.
- Must be comfortable Serving when no Bartending shifts available.
Specialized Skills:
- Excellent listening and communication skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, such as but not limited to, lifting approx. 40 lbs.
- Renowned time management and organization skills.
- Strong Customer Service skills with the desire to go above and beyond a client’s needs.
- The ability to work alone and as a team.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to learn and adapt quickly.
- Must have impeccable integrity for the business, the community, and the Proof of the Pudding team.
Work Environment
This position will consist of event attendance, preparation, assist with set up, and breakdown. This position works mostly out of and mainly stay within Zoo Atlanta but may travel to other venues within the region.
Uniform Requirements:
Adherence to Company Uniform Requirements outlined in the Associate Handbook, uniform requirements outlined in your orientation guidelines.
Physical Demands:
- Prolonged periods of moving through an event space and traveling from venue to venue.
- Bending, lifting, scooping, and carrying miscellaneous equipment and food items.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, such as but not limited to, lifting approx. 40 lbs.
- Physical endurance to work long shifts in a busy environment.
