Proof of the Pudding is an award-winning catering company throughout the Southeast with a commitment to creating quality culinary concepts from scratch. This standard was upheld through the expansion into Sports and Entertainment Hospitality Services by providing elevated concessions and premium offerings to collegiate stadiums, PGA golf tournaments, International Boat Shows, Professional Sports Teams, & more.
We are currently seeking additional Front of House Supervisors for University of Georgia (UGA) located in Athens, GA to oversee premium hospitality locations at Sanford Stadium (Football), Foley Field (Baseball), and Stegeman Coliseum (Basketball). This role may also support other venues within the Gwinnett district.
University of Georgia is a large campus in the heart of Northern Georgia where the Bulldogs reign supreme. Football games bring in 65,000 adoring fans all wearing red to support their 2021 National Champions. This is seasonal/part-time work as business needs are dictated by athletic events.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be a lead in your food service area while being a point of contact for guests and clients.
- Ensure the setting of tables/buffets are accurate according to diagram and/or sample table.
- Managing time effectively to ensure all BEO items are completed prior to service times.
- Delegating tasks to team members based on their positions and talents.
- Managing the team that is scheduled to run each event.
- Responsible for setting buffet stations which may include décor, linens, and china.
- Running food to suites and concessions as needed.
- Ensure the client is communicated with and checked in on throughout the event.
- Serve and clear food and beverage quietly, professionally, and quickly, using proper serving and clearing techniques.
- Keep work area clean, and coordinate actions with the event team members, and all other members of the front and back of the house to ensure flawless customer service.
- Maintain good grooming and personal hygiene.
- Adhere to food safety best practices and policies.
- Hands-on involvement in events includes a variety of physical tasks, such as the lifting of heavy objects, handling food and alcohol, loading serving carts and trays, stocking supplies, and garbage removal.
- Reporting to the General Manager and performing any tasks assigned in order to execute a flawless event.
Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience leading a food & beverage team is required
- Proven customer service skills, experience communicating with clients at events.
- Live within 25 miles of UGA campus preferred.
Specialized Qualifications:
- Excellent listening and communication skills
- Renowned time management and organization skills
- Strong Customer Service skills with the desire to go above and beyond a client’s needs.
- The ability to work alone and as a team.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to learn and adapt quickly.
Work Environment
The work environment for this position will be event operations and working out of the Football Stadium or similar venues. This position will often move throughout campus and stadium grounds on different terrains.

Physical Demands:
- Prolonged periods of being in one place, moving through an event space, and traveling from venue to venue.
- Bending, lifting, scooping, and carrying miscellaneous equipment and food items
- Ability to perform physical tasks; such as but not limited to, lifting approx. 30 lbs.
