Job Title: Outside Sales Representative

Position Summary: The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for driving business growth by generating leads, developing customer relationships, and closing sales in residential and commercial pest control markets. This role combines proactive prospecting, solution-oriented selling, and customer service excellence. Key Responsibilities:
1. Prospecting and Lead Generation:
  • Research and identify potential customers in residential and commercial markets.
  • Cultivate leads through referrals, community connections, and online reviews.
  • Partner with market technicians and Branch Managers to receive leads for follow-up and sales.
  • Contact former customers to reestablish relationships and regain their business.
  • Utilize digital marketing, social media, and local advertising to enhance brand visibility.
2. Initial Contact and Qualification:
  • Reach out to potential customers through phone, email, or in-person visits.
  • Present company services professionally, addressing customer pest control needs and concerns.
  • Qualify leads based on property type, location, and service area.
  • Build rapport with prospects by actively listening, sharing success stories, and explaining service benefits.
3. Appointment Setting:
  • Schedule on-site termite inspections or pest control consultations with potential clients.
  • Clearly communicate the scope, purpose, and expected time frame for inspections.
4. Sales Presentations and Closing:
  • Conduct thorough inspections and document findings for client review.
  • Present detailed proposals outlining treatment plans, pricing, and warranties.
  • Address customer objections, highlight benefits, and negotiate pricing when needed.
  • Offer financing options and bundled service packages to enhance affordability and value.
  • Secure signed contracts and deposits to finalize sales.
5. Post-Sale Activities:
  • Coordinate with operations to schedule service delivery and communicate timelines to clients.
  • Maintain customer relationships through follow-ups to ensure satisfaction and long-term retention.
  • Encourage referrals and request testimonials or reviews to support lead generation.
6. Professional Development:
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and treatment methods.
  • Participate in regular sales training and team meetings to refine skills and strategies.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in outside sales or a related customer-facing role, preferably in pest control or home services.
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM software for lead tracking and sales documentation.
  • Basic knowledge of pest control services or willingness to learn.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for in-person visits.
