Job Summary
Propel Logistics (an Amazon Delivery Service Partner - DSP) is seeking a detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our high-performing team dedicated to elevating the Amazon delivery experience. In this role, you'll coordinate delivery schedules, communicate effectively with drivers and customers, and ensure efficient, timely service in a fast-paced, challenging environment. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, demonstrates strong attention to detail, and thrives under high expectations. Pay will include Permomance Bonuses.

Dispatching Responsibilities

• Prepare for the day by ensuring all phones and portable chargers are fully charged.
• Send meeting announcements to all scheduled drivers and upload daily performance data (including Mentor, Netradyne, and Engine Off Compliance).
• Assist drivers with resolving Flex App or route issues during load-out.
• Manage on-road delivery challenges and resolve issues as they arise.
• Maintain an excellent understanding of the challenges drivers face and provide consistent, informed guidance.
• Collaborate with Amazon on delivery escalations, escalating issues as necessary.
• Identify driver concerns such as low fuel, depleted phone batteries, tire issues, and other vehicle defects, and address them promptly.
• Escalate all geofence and on-road defects.
• Monitor safety issues via the Netradyne console and contact offenders when required.
• Update capacity and schedule drivers for the following day.
• Continuously monitor the progress of all drivers on the road.
• Ensure that all devices are charging before concluding the day.

DA Management

• Oversee the hiring and termination of drivers.
• Manage the scheduling of all drivers.
• Issue write-ups for policy violations as needed.
• Provide ongoing coaching and communication to drivers.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of the weekly scorecard.
• Address and escalate any issues with missing clock-ins or clock-outs.
• Verify that all meal punches are accurately recorded.

Fleet Management

• Confirm that all vehicles deployed for delivery are in suitable condition.
• Coordinate the pick-up and drop-off of vehicles requiring repairs.
• Arrange for necessary repairs and routine servicing of vehicles.
• Oversee minor vehicle maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, mirrors, and wipers without the need for a mechanic.

Relationship Management

• Build and maintain strong working relationships with Amazon.
• Earn and uphold the respect of drivers by consistently maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Maintain continuous communication with other dispatchers and the owner.

Other Responsibilities

• Accept broad responsibilities for team performance and operational efficiency.
• Coordinate the repair of defective phones and other essential devices.
• Stay fully informed of all communications from Amazon and promptly relay relevant information to the team.

Skills

• Bilingaul: English and Spanish
• Attention to detail
• Ability to analyze information quickly and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with drivers, and team members.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.25 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
