The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving the sales of our client’s transportation and logistics services to prospective clients. This role requires close collaboration with the sales team and other departments to ensure customer needs are met and revenue targets are achieved.
The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background and in-depth knowledge of the transportation and logistics industry.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet revenue targets.
- Identify and prospect potential clients, including cold-calling and outreach.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring regular follow-ups and meetings.
- Work closely with the operations team to ensure customer requirements are met efficiently.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients to close deals.
- Manage the sales pipeline, keeping the CRM system up to date with accurate information.
- Stay informed about industry trends and provide insights to the management team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
- At least 5 years of sales experience, preferably within the transportation and logistics industry.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with CRM software, preferably Salesforce.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven track record of sales success in the transportation and logistics industry.
- Familiarity with international trade regulations and customs procedures.
- Experience in freight forwarding or customs brokerage.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
