Position Summary:

This position is responsible for increasing the credit union’s membership through commercial and consumer new business development efforts. Utilizing refined sales and marketing skills, the position will call on local businesses and individuals eligible for credit union membership and deliver the PROPELL brand value proposition. The BDO will serve as the initial and key on-going point of contact for small business relationships including lending, deposit, card/merchant services and other non- traditional banking products and services.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Be a PROPELL Brand Champion by properly representing PROPELL in the community via multiple communication channels (on-line, email, telephone, in person).
  • Working closely with the CCO and senior management, assist with the development and implementation of marketing plans and campaigns to enhance credit union awareness within the community field of membership. Contributes to the development of the overall strategic plan of the organization.
  • Develop and execute sales plans to identify and attract business organizations for credit union membership while educating prospective member on the PROPELL value proposition.
  • Represent the Credit Union in various community events and participate in sponsorship activities designed to further enhance credit union awareness.
  • Assists with the account opening process and administration of new business and retail member orientation.
  • Support business members with loan package submissions and other financial planning activities. Provide preliminary credit and loan qualification analysis and recommendations.
  • Assist with Branch Operational activities as needed.
  • Conducts market analysis by tracking key trends, metrics and competitive opportunities in the market.
  • Additional duties as assigned in support of credit union goals and objectives.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Must possess strong sales and business development skills.
  • Mastery of credit union products and services.
  • Knowledge of small business lending and credit processes.
  • High quality written/oral communication.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills addressing a diverse membership base.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Products and PC usage.
  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience, business lending experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA); or five (5) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Entrepreneurial perspective, analytical and problem-solving skills.

This position is eligible for base compensation, quarterly incentive pay, and annual bonus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

  • Business Development: 1 year (Preferred)

  • Havertown, PA 19083 (Required)

Willingness to travel:

  • 50% (Required)

Salary : $60,000 - $70,000
