Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accountant/Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing multiple aspects of clients' company's financial records, ensuring accuracy and efficiency, and preparing monthly reporting. This position requires strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles, experience with financial software, and excellent analytical skills.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
- Manage and reconcile financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Conduct regular account reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Perform general ledger accounting tasks, including journal entries and financial analysis.
- Use QuickBooks or other financial software to manage and track financial data.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Provide support for other financial staff members and assist with special projects as needed.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in all financial transactions.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Skills
- Proficiency in QuickBooks or other financial software.
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and financial software.
- Excellent 10-key typing skills.
- Experience with account reconciliation and financial statement preparation.
- Ability to understand and apply financial software to manage financial data.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently.
- Experience as a clerk or in a similar role.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
