Brewhouse Operator / Shift Brewer About: Brewhouse Operator is responsible for brewing wort, yeast counts, pitching yeast and maintaining brewhouse cleanliness. In the brewhouse, brewers produce consistent results with thorough notetaking in an organized manner, including milling, mashing, lautering, sparging, boiling, hop/water additions, and KO. Under the general direction of the Brewery Operations Director, the brewhouse operator will be responsible for following company safety procedures, policies, and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) to produce high quality beer to company standards. Responsible for helping to keep brewery and equipment clean and sanitized. About Proper Brewing: Proper Brewing Co. is headquartered in the heart of the Granary District in downtown Salt Lake City. General Requirements: Previous professional brewing experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Must be at least 21 years of age Must be able to lift 55lbs repeatedly and up to 165lbs occasionally Ability to effectively manage time and demonstrate a strong work ethic. Ability to multi-task while being detail and quality focused. Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing. Ability to work both independently and in small work teams.
