Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests and assist with any inquiries or requests, providing a hospitable and professional demeanor.
- Conduct Night Audit procedures, including posting room charges and taxes, processing guest charges and credit card vouchers, and transferring charges and deposits to master accounts.
- Verify the accuracy of all account postings and balances, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and hotel policies.
- Track revenues, occupancy rates, and other property statistics, compiling this information for management's review and strategic planning.
- Prepare detailed summaries of cash, check, and credit card transactions, facilitating the reconciliation of financial records.
- Communicate effectively with management, summarizing operational results and providing recommendations for improvement or corrective action as needed.
- Perform end-of-day procedures in the property management software, ensuring the seamless transition between business days.
- Monitor and authorize the entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other individuals to maintain the security of the premises and safeguard against theft or unauthorized access.
- Document daily activities and any irregularities observed, including equipment or property damage, theft incidents, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
- Respond promptly to alarms and investigate disturbances, conducting patrols of the premises to deter and detect signs of intrusion.
- Collaborate with colleagues and support other departments as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the hotel.
Additional Functions:
- Assist with guest check-in and check-out procedures during non-peak hours, providing efficient and courteous service.
- Conduct routine inspections of guest areas and facilities to identify maintenance issues or safety hazards, reporting findings to the appropriate departments.
- Provide support to the Front Desk team during busy periods, helping to address guest inquiries, process reservations, and resolve issues.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge related to Night Audit procedures, customer service techniques, and hotel operations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Night Audit roles, demonstrating proficiency in accounting procedures and financial analysis.
- Preferred knowledge of Infor PMS software and basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and internet usage.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills, with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with guests and colleagues.
- Sound financial awareness, including an understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Accountability and resilience, with the ability to work autonomously and under pressure.
- Flexibility to adapt to various work situations and schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the property's needs.
