What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recreation Assistant position at Proper Solutions?
Our client is seeking a Recreation Assistant that can provide general assistance in conducting youth recreational program activities for their recreation center. The ability to work with children is extremely important!
EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES :
Assist in conducting and participating in group recreation activities.
Assist on field trips and outings.
Assist in preparing recreation facilities for group activities.
Issue and collect recreation equipment and supplies.
Assist with the proper use and care of assigned facilities and equipment.
Knowledge of recreational activities used for youth programs.
Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
Learn and perform assigned tasks.
Instruct and lead group recreation activities.
Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Perform related duties as required.
MINIMUM AND PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS :
Experience :
Previous experience working in a youth activities environment preferred.
Special Requirements :
Possession of, or ability to obtain current First Aid and CPR Certification.
Working Conditions :
Work includes indoor and outdoor environments
Must successfully complete a pre-employment background investigation, physical, and drug screen.
Hours = vary
Pay = $17 / hr
