Assistant Property Manager/Leasing Agent

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Property Manager in the daily operations of our residential properties. This position requires strong customer relationship management skills, excellent phone etiquette, and a solid understanding of property management software such as Appfolio, Buildium or Quickboos. The Assistant Property Manager will assist in maintaining high occupancy rates through effective upselling techniques while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. We are currently offering up to 32hrs per week but can definitely grow into a full time position for a qualified candidate.

Duties

• Assist the Property Manager in overseeing property operations and maintenance.
• Manage tenant relations, addressing inquiries and resolving conflicts effectively.
• Maintain accurate records and files related to tenant leases, payments, and maintenance requests.
• Utilize software for tracking tenant information, managing accounts, and processing applications.
• Conduct property tours for prospective tenants, highlighting features and benefits to encourage leasing.
• Implement upselling strategies to maximize occupancy rates and revenue.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations governing property management.
• Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, preparing reports, and maintaining office organization.

Experience

• Proven experience in property management or a related field is preferred.
• Strong customer relationship management skills with a focus on tenant satisfaction.
• Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills to effectively interact with tenants and vendors.
• Familiarity with Appfolio or similar property management software is highly desirable.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in an office environment.
• A background in administrative duties related to property management is beneficial.

Pay: $17.72 - $18.49 per hour
