Job Description : Summary
Employee will maintain and troubleshoot electronic equipment, systems, tools, and computers used in oilfield operations. Responsible for performing repairs, troubleshooting, maintenance, and calibrations of electrical equipment both in the shop and field locations supporting both the wireline and pumpdown divisions of the organization. The technician will be the main point of contact for all electrical / electro-mechanical equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Perform scheduled and preventative maintenance on loggers, pumps, auxiliary equipment and tools
- Perform repairs on equipment both in the field and at the shop
- Troubleshoot systems, electrical equipment, and components as they arise recommending solutions or performing repairs as needed
- Travel to location to perform repairs on electronics and equipment as needed
- Install or repair systems to ensure proper functionality
- Repair and support PC's running windows and other proprietary systems
- Test equipment to ensure it meets all company standards
- Perform calibrations when needed
- Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies
- Follow all company best practices
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned
- Assist field service managers with troubleshooting
- Assist other electronic technicians as needed
